Parents and Guardians Have a Key Role in Emergency Response
During and following an emergency situation, school and district officials must act quickly and follow established emergency protocols to safeguard students and staff, secure schools, and communicate accurate information in a timely manner. Parents can assist greatly by helping with preparation before the emergency.
Deltona Middle School has implemented a new security system to help protect our students. The Visitor Management System helps track guests, students, faculty, contractors and volunteers at our school, thus providing a safer and more monitored environment for the students. When visitors, volunteers, contractors or parents check-in, they will be asked to present a valid state issued ID for entering into the system. We ask for your cooperation in presenting your valid state issued ID when checking in at the school.
