School Advisory Council (SAC)

The Volusia County School Board supports and encourages increased participation by parents, community, and staff members in the development of plans to improve students’ achievement.

Each school shall establish a School Advisory Council, composed of teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other citizens who are representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school.

Parents and community members interested in serving on the Deltona Middle School Advisory Counsel should contact Mrs. Hulette (e-mail:  dmhulett@volusia.k12.fl.us).   Monthly meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

We are looking for parents and community members to join our SAC team for the School Year 2022-2023.  If you are interested in joining our team, please complete the below Candidacy Request Form and turn it into the front office or e-mail Mrs. Hulette at dmhulett@volusia.k12.fl.us​.

School Improvement Plan

The school improvement plan shall be designed to achieve the state education priorities and student proficiency on the Sunshine State Standards. Each plan shall address student achievement goals and strategies based on state and school district proficiency standards. The plan may also address issues relative to other academic related matters as determined by district school board policy and shall include an accurate, data-based analysis of student achievement and other student performance data.

Each School Advisory Council shall assist in the preparation and evaluation of the school improvement plan required pursuant to s. 1001.42(16) and shall assist in the preparation of the annual budget and plan as required by s. 1008.385(1). If you have something you would like to see changed in this School Improvement Plan, please e-mail Ms. Seidel with your changes / additions. Parent & Family Engagement Plan

As a Title 1 school, we have an obligation to share with parents and community members our plan on engaging students and parents.  Our School will be governed by the statutory definition of parent and family engagement, and will carry out programs, activities and procedures in accordance as such.  Please see the 2021-22 Plan our school, parents and community leaders have developed below.
